My name is Muhammad Ayaz, and I founded delior in Sialkot — a city that has always understood the meaning of craft. A city where leather is stitched for global giants, where surgical steel earns international trust. I grew up watching men build world-class things with their hands. I wanted to do the same, but with scent.
The idea behind delior was not a weekend inspiration. It was a question that kept me awake: Why does a person in Pakistan who desires genuine, international-grade luxury perfumery have to compromise? Before a single bottle was ever placed in a customer's hands, I spent two full years in relentless research. Not studying branding or market positioning. Studying scent. Studying the invisible architecture of a fragrance that makes a person stop and ask, "What is that you're wearing?"
I studied how top notes create that critical first impression — the hook that catches attention within the first fifteen seconds. I studied heart notes, the true character of a fragrance, what it says about the person wearing it. And I studied base notes: the lasting impression, the trail on a coat long after someone has left a room.
I sourced aromatic ingredients globally. I compared Bergamot profiles from multiple origins, tested how each interacted with rich, smoky Oud, and observed how Ambroxan — an ingredient prized in the world's finest perfumeries — behaves over a full day of wear in Pakistan's climate conditions. There were hundreds of test strips. Dozens of iterations. Many formulations I was proud of one evening that I discarded the next morning.
